New company headquarters: We grow with our tasks

Solectrix starts construction project for the new company headquarters

After eight years "Auf AEG", our premises are bursting at the seams. The sustained steady growth of Solectrix GmbH has led us to plan a new company building with modern office, laboratory and production facilities. And now the time has come - in Fürth's West business park, we step into action. On 5600 square meters, our new design house for embedded systems is being built. It will provide plenty of space for our Solectrix team, which currently has around 90 employees - and is set to increase.

Modern architecture

With our new company building we are pursuing an open, modern office concept that promotes creativity and communication. There is a modern facade, glass surfaces that create a bright and friendly environment, and a large garden. "The special feature is the central area of the building," explains architect Klaus Damovsky. "A two-story room with gallery, kitchen, bar, dining area and chill zones. And a small inner garden with a two-story airspace. And lots of light."

Flexible offices with a feel-good atmosphere

The interior planning is carried out by a professional and experienced planning office. But Solectrix employees also have their say. Their ideas and suggestions are taken up in the planning. "Our goal is to combine a flexible office with a feel-good atmosphere," says the Solectrix management. "The new office landscape will enable focused, distraction-free work as well as simple, open communication." Does this appeal to you? A free spot could become yours. Apply to us.

Press releases about the groundbreaking ceremony

Joint trade fair appearance of Creative Instruments and Solectrix as EVOMET

EVOMET: Creative Instruments and Solectrix have already been working hand in hand for a while to develop a new high-end real-time cycler for molecular diagnostics. With the joint appearance at MT-CONNECT as EVOMET, this cooperation is now made visible to the public.

EVOMET stands for Evolution of Medical Technologies and is not only the name of the interdisciplinary cooperation, but the program. Because the stated goal of EVOMET is the development of advanced medical technology. While Creative Instruments is specialized in medical and molecular biology diagnostics, Solectrix offers high-quality embedded system expertise. The combination of both core competencies makes EVOMET an efficient innovator in medical technology.

One first example: When developing the new OEM device for carrying out PCR analyzes, EVOMET has succeeded in achieving a homogeneity in the automatic heating and cooling phase that has been improved by a factor of 10 compared with existing systems and in controlling and optimizing all heating and cooling elements individually. The trade fair visitors could gain a first impression of this achievement by taking a look at the exhibited thermal block and temperature control unit.

However, the high-end real-time cycler is just the first step. EVOMET is already planning the next developments.

3D live system: The demonstrator of the new low-latency 3D live system, which includes a 3D camera system from Solectrix and a glasses-free 3D monitor from SeeFront, also turned out to be a real crowd-puller, just as it had recently done at embedded world. The innovation of the system is that, in contrast to conventional systems, it does not need a separate processing unit and provides the viewer with the exact three-dimensional image without aids such as the usual 3D glasses. Thus, the ultra-compact high-end image evaluation system is ideally suited for use in cutting-edge technologies in the medical sector, in robotics or in demanding quality assurance.

Embedded world 2018:
Onto the front page of the trade show’s official daily with our 3D live system

Numerous interesting encounters on the 75 sq m presentation area for cutting-edge embedded electronics made by Solectrix, a technical lecture at the embedded world Conference about “Image compression with a System-on-a-Chip”, and an article on the front page of the trade show’s official daily – that’s the résumé of a successful participation in embedded world 2018!

Once again, thousands of visitors flocked to the leading international trade show for embedded electronics. Solectrix wooed the interested trade professionals with live presentations, exhibits, and 3d films dealing with topics like Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) operation of automotive camera systems, agile software development showcased within a digital mirror replacement project, the next level of our automotive image data grabbing system and the latest innovations in the medical field.

The new high-performance image data grabbing system enables the lossless recording, processing, and temporally exact 1:1 playback of CSI-2 data streams of any complexity from modern image sensors via FPD-Link III or GMSL. Alongside Creative Instruments, Solectrix presented the interdisciplinary co-operation EVOMET (Evolution of Medical Technologies) and the joint development of a new OEM device for molecular diagnostics with a highly sensitive detection system and innovative high-precision temperature control technology. For the first time, Solectrix offered an opportunity to try an integrated low-latency 3D live system, consisting of a “sinaCAM” 3D camera system by Solectrix and a glasses-free 3D display by SeeFront. The ultra-compact high-end image processing system, where the entire image processing chain is implemented in a single electronic part, making it perfectly suitable for use in high-end technology areas of the medical field, robotics, and sophisticated CCTV technology, didn’t just attract the visitors’ attention, it also ended up on the front page of the trade show official daily.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our successful trade show appearance and of course also to those who took the time to visit our booth! In accordance with our motif “embedding your interests” we are looking forward to a successful continued or all new collaboration and to seeing you again at embedded world 2019!
